Active weights
Level: All levels
-
This class is designed for anyone wishing to feel stronger and more toned without bulking out! We will boost your metabolism, maintaining strong bones in menopause and beyond. Improve your mood, reduce stress and take time for you feeling good in your body.
This is a group class designed around an interval-style session. We warm up with mobility and short stretch, then move into using the weights in various protocols and exercises to challenge our muscular strength. At the end, we do an optional 15 min stretch before heading off.
You need to bring your own weights (anything from 2.5kg-10kg) depending on your ability.
This is a fabulous encouraging group where we all work to our own levels and abilities. I encourage people to explore and expand their own strength in their own time in a safe environment.

Freedom to Move & Stretch
Level: All levels
-
This is a mobility, balance, stretch and flexibility-focused group class. Leading you through specific exercises that will leave you feeling connected, strong and full of joy. The class starts usually with a standing mobility warm-up, which can vary week on week, to get the energy moving through your body.
We then move to work on deep, long hold passive stretches to establish and increase range of movement, to help you feel more free within your body. You will also work on poses to increase the flexibility and strength to help hamstrings, lengthen the spine, and have happy hips. Stretching improves posture, movement patterns and alignment all of which can reduce risk of injury. Let’s celebrate the body you are in.

Unfortunately, I only offer a full block booking of 6/7 weeks. If, for any reason, you fall unwell before the class I am unable to offer any refund. Should you have holidays booked and know the exact date, I can offer a slightly reduced rate for that term. I only do small groups, so I do ask for a full term to be paid to guarantee your mat space.
-
In Oxhill, there is a maximum of 12 and in Shenington a maximum of 10.

Please bring a bottle of water for all classes, wear something you feel comfortable in – not too loose but not too restrictive - and we tend to work in bare feet for Pilates and stretch classes. For physical classes, you will need to bring a mat, resistance band and ball (I can provide links for these, I do have spares).
-
You must be over 18 years of age to attend. There’s no upper age limit, but if you are over 65 and do not currently do regular physical activity, it’s recommended you talk to your doctor before starting an activity programme. Everyone completes a health questionnaire before class which I will email to you to ensure suitability.
If you are unsure about your ability to join in, based on any health challenges just drop me a line using the contact form and we can have a chat.
-
Classes are for people with some previous experience. I do offer 1-2-1 sessions to help get you prepared to join group classes; taking you through the foundations so you can join classes with confidence.

Unfortunately, my classes aren’t suitable for pregnant ladies or those that have recently given birth (within 3 months) – please contact me for further details if you have any questions. I have some good contacts in the area that may be able to help.
